Apollo Education Group Inc., Front End Developer Intern / Co-op June 2014 – Dec 2014 (San Jose, CA) Created an online course authoring tool named Rubric Management Console for 'University of Phoenix' • Worked on Front End components using GoogleWebToolkit to create UI widgets for the tool • Built RESTful web services layer from scratch using Jersey, JAX-RS, and Java API to display data in widgets. • Performed Unit, Integration Testing to validate the components using Junit and Mockito Framework.

Big Data in Brand Management

Spring 2014 Class Project

We propose to develop a system, which would use the help of social media web services like Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, E-mails, Bazaar Voice, and YouTube etc. to gather analyze and process data. The data generated can be used to overcome the problem statement by using Big Data Techniques such as Cluster Analysis, Massively paralleled Analytic Databases and of course the Hadoop framework. Our system provides an insight about the competitive analysis of the product by using techniques such as Brand Sentiment Analysis and user engagement levels on social media websites. It performs certain computations using efficient algorithms to obtain all possible views for a product. It would analyze and measure brand’s sentiment and there will be algorithms to track for reviews pertaining to the areas of interest across the web, followed by quickly analyzing them and to determine which of the reviews are positive and which are negative. .

Fantasy football player bidding App

Fall 2014 Class Project

This is a commercial product which is targeted towards sport fanatics. Bidding here is the name of the game. The general consensus of the game is to build a fantasy team of soccer over 11 rounds for each position. There are fixed set of gamers who join a lobby and outbid other gamers to get the best player out there. The winner of the game is finalized based on their individual team overall (sum of the fantasy points of the whole team) score. The driving factor for this game is time. It is also the factor which captures the gamers attention and decides if the gamer gets a particular player(fantasy player) or not. We came up with few gaming terms in order to help our fellow students to understand the gameplay and dynamics of the game. .

Restaurant Table Reservation App

Final Masters Project (Android)

Today’s diners have a wide variety of choices selecting restaurants when dining with family and friends. The foremost problem being faced by most diners is not being able to book a table of their choice in the restaurant that they plan to visit. Moreover, they do not have easy access to the real time deals based on the customer’s location. When a restaurant is overcrowded, customers have to wait for a long time. The objective of this project is to develop an android mobile application which helps in minimizing the complexities involving the way diners reserve the table of their choice, get deals based on location dynamically and receive Live Feeds on various restaurant aspects.
